In the last few decades porn has become a big part of our lives. With our smartphones and tablets, we have easy access to free porn at any time of the day. Despite this, women are actually big consumers of online porn, and it has been estimated by Pornhub that women make-up almost a quarter of their audience. Unsurprisingly, things seem to be starting to change as production companies are starting to realise the potential of women-focused porn. This genre seems to be growing and some big-name sites such as Pornhub have pages of porn that are aimed at women.
These films in particular focus more on the female’s pleasure as opposed to the males. Often in this genre, the films are directed by women with the intended audience being women. The films are generally more sensual, and the actors and actresses have more of a connection. As well as this, the women are vastly more ‘ordinary’ looking; instead of casting 10/10s, the women look more like the kind you see in the street. Generally speaking, these films are more relatable and ‘ordinary’ in a sense. It is clear then, that female-focused porn is only getting bigger and with an ever-increasing number of films, it seems that there will be far-more choice for us ladies.
