How To Use Kegel Exercisers

Kegel exercises are essential for people with pelvic issues who want to improve their pelvic floor. However, unless you perform a Kegel exercise 80–100 times daily, it is difficult to see noticeable benefits without adding resistance to your activities. The issue with doing so many Kegel exercises daily is that it requires a lot of energy and time, which are sometimes scarce in our hectic lives.

How Do Kegel Exercisers Operate?

The purpose of Kegel exercises is to reinforce the pelvic floor, which comprises muscles, including crucial ones. This muscle group supports women's essential organs, including the rectum, uterus, vaginal canal, and bladder. Cones, Kegel exercisers, Kegel balls (also known as Ben Wa balls or eggs), and other devices are designed to supplement regular Kegel exercises and provide a more efficient workout with quicker results. In addition to helping women with common problems like pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence, and bladder control, pelvic floor exercises—whether or not they use Kegel balls—also help you feel stronger in your vaginal muscles.

Beginning

• Choose the Kegel exerciser suitable for your present strength level, typically the one with the least weight.
• Utilize it for fifteen minutes once a day, ideally when moving your body, like when taking a shower, doing light housework, or readying yourself in the morning.
• Go on to the subsequent larger one as your strength increases.

Being Aware Of Where To Begin

Identifying your starting point is the first step towards employing a Kegel exerciser. Cleaning it with warm and mild soap water should be your priority. Start with the lightest or ivory-colored ball in your set. Place one leg up on a chair or step and settle into a comfortable position. Holding the end with the cable connected, carefully slide the exerciser into your vagina till the whole bulb is inside; the cord should stay outside the vagina. This is similar to how you would insert a tampon. When necessary, apply a water- based lubricant.

You may observe that the weight automatically pushes upwards and away from your fingers as it is drawn into your vagina when you contract your pelvic muscles to hold it.

Try squeezing or holding for a couple of minutes. If you are successful, unwind, take it off, and repeat the procedure the next day, going on to the next deeper shade.

Keep doing this until you find a resistance level that is difficult but manageable and that you can maintain for a few minutes.

After that, use it every day for 15 minutes until it stops feeling difficult, which should happen in two to three days. When performing Kegel exercises, you can then start using the larger sizes. Go on to the following shade once these are easier to complete.

Pre- And Post-Use Best Practices

Prior to and following each use, please make sure to wash the Kegel exerciser. They are simple to wash with warm water and mild soap because they are non-porous, meaning nothing can get into them. Cleaning is crucial for your hygiene and safety.
