Keeping Safe: The Do’s and Dont’s of the Escorting Business

Escorting should be a fun, flexible and exhilarating lifestyle to be a part of; but there are definitely some job hazards to be aware of when on duty. Like any other job that requires physical attention; being an escort presents a unique set of risks that you have to understand before placing yourself in such a situation. Here’s some simple do’s and don’ts when on the job: -

1.    DON’T: Put yourself in situations where you’re not comfortable in. If before the meeting your client sounds like they could be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, think twice before even going for the session.

DO: Screen your clients before you meet! Look them up on Facebook or any other form of social media to verify if they’re an actual person or going under as a sketchy alias. Discretion is understandably very important to both parties in this situation, but it is necessary to make sure that your client at least is who he claims to be, work where he claims to work etc. Seek viable online escort service providers if you can, but if you’re freelance escorting make sure to take necessary precautions -like passing along your location to a friend- before you head off for an appointment.

2.    DON’T: Take up the offer to meet in unfamiliar places. Sex workers are far more likely than any demographic of the public to be placed in dangerous situations. If you’re not careful enough, you can be target of theft and assault.

DO:  Always suggest meeting up at a hotel or neighborhood that you’re familiar with. Hotels are a much safer alternative as they’re surrounded by members of the public and is generally a busy place. However, if the client prefers you coming over to his/her house, always make sure you look up the place on Google Maps and familiarize yourself with the neighborhood beforehand.

3.    DON’T: Have unprotected sex. Always keep a spare condom on you at all times; in the case your client “forgets” to carry one along with him.

DO: Emphasis on the importance of safe sex before you go on with the appointment. It’s always a good tip to call your client before an appointment, and make sure you lay out some ground rules about boundaries and sexual health before you get down and dirty.

4.    DON’T: Assume that everyone has your best interests at heart. When it comes to payment, freelance escorts especially are more likely to fall prey to clients who skip out at the last minute.

DO: Ask for half of the payment before the beginning of the session and the rest right after. If your client is big on discretion and refuses to make bank deposits, Paypal etc; then offer to meet up for a simple date (without any grand sexual debuts) and pass you the cash.
