It is okay either way and it must be respected, therefore, no decision is wrong and you should never feel bad for accepting a client that has a partner or refusing them.
The only thing that should never be accepted is to charge them more or even talk to their partners about the client’s actions as a punishment because seeing that this is only a job, you should never bring it to the client’s personal life or, even take the situation personally.
