Is There Pleasure in Anal Sex?

Love it or hate it – that’s the most sensible way of describing anal sex. For those who’ve tried it, it’s either “until next time” or “never again.” Anal sex is nothing new, and there’s proof of it even in ancient times. History tells us that people find it pleasurable. But is it a legit claim?

When it comes to anal sex, there’s no denying the discomfort (even pain) at first try. Most women would rather forget that first experience, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that they no longer are open to doing it again. The reality is that the incredulous “first time” usually transforms into a pleasurable experience, with increased intensity and lesser pain. While it’s hard to fathom for some women, some consider anal sex as sexually arousing and gratifying.

Every case is different, just like one person loves medium rare, and another prefers it well-done. Anal sex is a subjective experience; with people having unique bodies, emotions, and anatomical structures, it doesn’t matter that three out of five will reveal that they like doing it.

But if we are to learn the physiology of it, there’s proof that anal sex is pleasurable. The area around the anus (opening) is considered an erogenous zone. If you’ve done your research, then you know that an erogenous zone is that part of the body that’s extra sensitive from the stimulus. It means that the opening of the anus has a remarkable amount of sensation. So, when a foreign object encounters it, there’s a possibility of stimulation, which can even lead to an orgasm. The proximity of the anus to the vaginal wall makes orgasm a close possibility.

But as we said earlier, every person is different. It means that there are different levels of sensitivity. Hence, the so-called “anal orgasm” isn’t guaranteed. But one thing is for sure though: anal sex is legitimate, and there’s an increasing number of people who find it pleasurable.

As someone who hasn’t tried it before and but is seriously contemplating it, the best way to go is by practicing it solo. The use of a thick silicone-based lubricant and a sex toy that mimics a penis should be enough to make the experience as seamless as possible. When you’re about to be penetrated from behind, be sure to take deep breaths and take it as slow as possible. As we said, the first time is always the most difficult one. But if you’re adventurous enough, then you’ll find the excitement and satisfaction in it.
